Polytechnic Bridging Courses

For the full list of diplomas accredited for CHS Majors, please refer to the NUS Office of Admissions (OAM) website
Polytechnic diploma holders can read Chemistry / Life Sciences as their primary Majors if they meet one of the following entry requirements:
- Diplomas are accredited to the Chemistry / Life Sciences Majors (Refer to Table 1 and 2)
- For Chemistry Major only: Read and pass CM1417X Fundamentals of Chemistry under Internal Blended Learning Online Courses (iBLOCs) for Returning Full-Time National Servicemen
- Read and pass H2 bridging course of the intended Major in Year 1
  - Chemistry Major: CM1417 Fundamentals of Chemistry
  - Life Sciences Major: LSM1301 General Biology
Polytechnic diploma holders can read Data Science and Analytics / Mathematics / Physics/ Quantitative Finance / Statistics as their primary Majors if they meet one of the following entry requirements:
- Obtained a Diploma Plus (or related) certification in Mathematics in the local polytechnics (Refer to Table 4)
- Read and pass MA1301X Introductory Mathematics under Internal Blended Learning Online Courses (iBLOCs) for Returning Full-Time National Servicemen
- Obtain a pass in the MA1301 Proficiency Test at the point of matriculation
- Read and pass MA1301 Introductory Mathematics (bridging course for H2 Mathematics) in Year 1
Polytechnic diploma holders can apply for direct admissions to the Environmental Studies (BES) programme during NUS’ admissions exercise in February. BES students are not required to read LSM1301 General Biology and CM1417 Fundamentals of Chemistry if their diplomas are accredited to the BES programme (Refer to Table 5)
Polytechnic diploma holders can apply for direct admissions to the Food Science and Technology (FST) / Pharmaceutical Science (PHS) programmes during NUS’ admissions exercise in February, provided their diplomas are accredited to the FST / PHS Majors.
