The pharmaceutical science domain incorporates an integrative and multidisciplinary approach that spans the whole value chain of the drug discovery and development process.

Our research programme revolves around the domains of pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical biology, pharmacokinetics and pharmaceutical technology. Researchers work on cutting-edge projects at the laboratories through strategic collaborations among our multidisciplinary team of pharmaceutical scientists and clinical pharmacists. Many also participate in specialised research initiatives, some of which are interdisciplinary, inter-departmental, or inter-institutional in nature.

We place emphasis on combining innovative formulation science and advanced process technology, for pharmaceutical and allied industries in the region and the world. Our scientists are also involved in novel dosage forms such as hybrid nanoparticle composites and multi-functional constructs for tissue engineering and repair.
