Question: How can I make friends in university?

Clarence says, “In your first year at NUS, freely explore the various kinds of student life activities and opportunities that are open to you as an NUS student. There are over a hundred different student-initiated clubs and societies. Through these platforms you can connect with people, and make new friends from the College of Humanities and Sciences (CHS) as well as with students from other faculties.”

Clarence describes his learning journey at NUS as a very enriching one that enables him to develop holistically, as a confident individual and a competent team member. He took every opportunity to participate actively in datathons, NUS’ experiential internship learning programme and outreach activities. As Vice Director of the Science Volunteer Corps, he led a student-initiated Overseas Service Learning Project to Vietnam which allowed him to pursue his passion in volunteering.
