Professor Lionel Wee
Professor Lionel Wee is the Co-Dean of NUS College of Humanities and Sciences and the Dean of the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Before becoming FASS' 18th Dean, Prof Wee was the Faculty’s Vice Dean of Research (2014-2021) and is a Provost’s Chair Professor of Linguistics with the Department of English Language and Literature, which he headed from 2010 to 2014.
Professor Joseph Park
Trained in the areas of sociolinguistics, linguistic anthropology, and discourse analysis, Prof Joseph Park's recent work has explored issues such as: language in globalisation, transnationalism and neoliberalism; English as a global language; and, representation of language in the media. Prof Park is Vice Dean (Undergraduate Studies) at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Associate Professor Nicholas Hon
As Vice Dean, Associate Professor Nicholas Hon leads the management of external relations and spearheads initiatives aimed at enhancing student life in FASS. He is also involved in teaching and research on cognitive psychology and neuroscience in the Psychology Department.

Hariz Emran
Hariz Emran is a year 3 majoring in Malay Studies and Communications & New Media. He is heavily invested in local developments across the region, especially involving power structures and issues of religion and social inequalities. Hariz has a keen interest too in traditional Malay art forms, having led NUS Ilsa Tari as President and being involved with NUS Dikir Barat. His endeavour for discourse and engagement has also spurred him on to be part of the NUS Malay Studies Society’s executive committee this academic year, having partaken in ad-hoc projects under NUS Muslim Society previously.
Silver Er
Silver Er is a year 2 Philosophy major taking a Double Degree Programme with Waseda University. She enjoys reading, writing, dancing, playing computer games and sleeping. In her free time, she can be found having heart-to-heart talks with close friends and chatting with new people!
Wang Weiyu
Wang Weiyu is a year 4 student pursuing the Psychology and Economics majors with a minor in Forensic Science. He loves spending time out in nature and going on hikes to unwind from the hustle and bustle of university life.
Jazmine Lin
Jazmine Lin is a Global Studies major, whose academic interests lie in international relations and political economy. Jazmine devotes her free time to reading fantasy and mystery novels, so she is always open to book recommendations! As a FASS Student Ambassador she hopes to help prospective and new FASS students navigate through the (often) confusing world of university life.
