Liu Chunchun
Dr Liu is an experienced educator in multidisciplinary courses. Her teaching areas include economics (microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, mathematical economics, international finance, game theory), mathematics, quantitative finance and business. As an economist and applied mathematician, her research interests include applied game theory, applied microeconomic theory, applied mechanism design, industrial organisation and platform economy. She is currently a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science.

Denis Tkachenko
Dr Tkachenko’s research focuses on theoretical econometrics and its applications in macroeconomics and finance. His work has been published in the top five and top field economic journals. At NUS, he teaches classes in econometrics, forecasting and machine learning. He is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Peter Todd
Assoc Prof Todd, a marine biologist, has been teaching ecology and marine science at NUS for nearly two decades. His interdisciplinary research synthesises elements of biology, geography and engineering to answer ecological and environmental questions. In particular, he studies tropical coastal organisms and communities and the effects urbanisation has on them. He is the Director of the Bachelor of Environmental Studies (BES) programme.

Jason Yeo
Assoc Prof Yeo received his BSc (Hons) and MSc in Chemistry from NUS and his PhD from ETH Zurich, Switzerland and conducted postdoctoral research at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His work focuses on developing efficient and robust materials to catalyse energy conversion reactions to achieve sustainable and environmentally friendly energy. Assoc Prof Yeo has received multiple university- and faculty-level teaching excellence awards. He is currently Deputy Head (Education) at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science.

Assoc Prof Gopal graduated from NUS Mathematics and went on to complete his PhD in Statistics at the University of Florida, United States. He worked at the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) and then IBM, before joining NUS in 2013. He has been teaching classes in statistics and data science to undergraduates and adult learners since then. He is currently Assistant Head at the Department of Statistics and Data Science, Faculty of Science.

Liu Mei Hui
Dr Liu graduated from the pioneering batch of NUS’ Food Science and Technology Programme. She received numerous food industry awards as a student. Following her first degree, Dr Liu was awarded the prestigious Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) Graduate Scholarship to pursue a PhD in Molecular Biology. Her research work at the Genome Institute of Singapore, A*STAR and Cornell University, United States brought her on many scientific journeys in the fields of molecular biology, nutrition and genomics. Her multidisciplinary research has been recognised in prestigious journals including Nature. She is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Science.

Henry Mok
Assoc Prof Mok obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, in 1996 on the study of folding and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy of the DNA binding domain of the human papillomavirus E2 protein. His expertise is in determining the structural / functional relationship of proteins involved in human diseases using both NMR and X-ray crystallography. His group is currently investigating the interaction of human plasmin with the E-protein of the dengue virus. Assoc Prof Mok is currently Deputy Head (Undergraduate Matters) at the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science.

Sze Chie is a Year 3 Life Sciences student specialising in Biomedical Sciences. She has also completed the Special Programme in Science. She is currently the Vice President in the 54th Management Committee of NUS’ Life Sciences Society. She was also part of the organising committee of the 52nd and 53rd Life Sciences Camp.

Assoc Prof Tan received his BSc from NUS and PhD from the University of California. His research interests are in algebra and number theory. He is also a Fellow of the NUS Teaching Academy. As President of the Singapore Mathematical Society, he has organised a wide range of mathematics enrichment programmes for school teachers and students. He has received multiple faculty- and university-level awards for teaching excellence, including the Outstanding Educator Award, the highest recognition for educators at NUS. Eric Chan
Prof Chan is the inaugural Provost’s Innovation Chair Professor (2025) at NUS. His research interests are physiologically-based pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modelling of pharmacology and toxicology, xenobiotic-derived reactive metabolite research with specific focus on interaction with biological proteins and metabolism-driven systems biology modelling of pathology, pharmacology, toxicology and mammalian host-bacteria interactions. He received the Dean’s Chair Professorship (2015 to 2018), Young Scientist Award (2010) and Outstanding Scientist Award (2014) in the Faculty of Science. He is also a recipient of multiple university- and faculty-level teaching excellence awards. He is a pharmaceutical scientist and pharmacist at the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Science.

He has taken part in overseas exchange at the University of California San Diego, United States and research at the Bioinformatics Institute, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). His final year project explores ribosomal alterations in cancer. He is interested in applying analytics to drive progress in the pharmaceutical sector.
